Exposed concrete bricks frame the landscape,
the red earth envelope plays between horizontality and verticality.
Located in the countryside around Fidenza, in the province of Parma, the building has a courtyard layout whose axis of rotation is the spiral staircase at the centre of the living area, the fulcrum of the entire system.
The rooms in the house, located at different levels, are arranged around an open space, forming a closed functional aggregation gathered around the central space of the courtyard.
The large window opens up to the outside environment, internalising it and making it an integral part of the work.
The structure, made of exposed concrete baffles, frames the landscape, while the red earth brick envelope is played with by interlocking structural horizontals and verticals.
